He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed (Proverbs 11:25)

Youth Camps

As the church grows, God has bought families, men, women, children and younger people. Half of the church is made up of younger people. And as the younger people come for fellowship, we have to feed them ith the right diet (the Word of God, expressed in a relevant way for the younger people).

In 2007 we started something that had not been done before. (A Youth Camp). We called upon all the Youth in the Country and we had over 350 younger people. This Youth Camp was organised and run by the youth and the church members of Luwero Community Church.

For seven days we had;

1. Morning Glory every day

2. Preparation for breakfast at 8am

3. 9am - 1pm sessions of teaching and praise/worship.

4. 3pm - 4:30pm Teaching, question time, praise and worship, special choirs and sports.

5. 6pm - 7:30pm refreshments

6. 8pm - 10:30pm prayer, discussion and intercession.

This program of events went from Monday to Friday. On friday we had a BBQ and an over night prater from 10:30pm to 6am. Saturday morning everybody went home.

The theme for the 2007 Youth Camp was “The Purpose of a Youth in God’s Kingdom“.

We have already received letters from other CHruches and Pasters to put on another Youth Camp for this year. So in august we are holding a 2008 Youth Camp and the theme will be “The Spirit of the Lord in Younger Peoples Lives”.

Don’t miss, come and be a part of it!
